Meet and greet at the airport, followed by a transfer to your hotel. Briefing on birding spots and expectations for the tour. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Phulchowki Hill offers rich forests with a high diversity of species.Location: 16 km from Kathmandu, at an altitude of 2,760m.Target Birds: Spiny Babbler (Nepal's endemic bird), Cutia, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Rufous-bellied Pied Woodpecker, Black-faced Laughing Thrush. Return to Kathmandu for an overnight stay.

Drive: 5-6 hours or take a short flight to Bharatpur, then transfer to Chitwan. In the afternoon, settle in and explore the surroundings for initial sightings.Overnight: Lodge near Chitwan National Park.

Chitwan is Nepal's premier wildlife reserve with over 540 bird species.Target Birds: Bengal Florican, Giant Hornbill, Lesser Adjutant, Grey-crowned Prinia, Red Junglefowl, and various waterfowl and waders. Explore diverse habitats from grasslands to riverside areas on guided walks, jeep safaris, and boat rides. Overnight in Chitwan.

Drive: 4-5 hours from Chitwan to Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and significant birding spot. Lumbini's wetlands attract migratory birds in winter, including some endangered species.Target Birds: Sarus Crane, Black-necked Stork, Lesser Adjutant, Asian Openbill, various kingfishers. Overnight in Lumbini.Drive to the Terai plains of eastern Nepal or fly to Biratnagar, followed by a short drive to Koshi Tappu. Koshi Tappu is Nepal's finest birding wetland area with seasonal migrants and a wide range of waterfowl. Overnight: Lodge at Koshi Tappu.

Target Birds: Bengal Florican, Black-bellied Tern, Swamp Francolin, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Dusky Eagle-Owl, and diverse species of migratory waterfowl. Explore on foot, jeep, and boat to cover various habitats like marshes, open water, and woodlands. Overnight in Koshi Tappu.

Drive or fly back to Kathmandu, depending on logistics.Leisure time in the afternoon for last-minute birding or exploration.
