Trip Overview

The 10 Day Nagi Mohare Danda Community Trek is an off-the-beaten-path trekking experience in the Annapurna region of Nepal, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain). This trek is an excellent alternative to the more crowded trekking routes like the Poon Hill Trek. It emphasizes eco-tourism and supports local communities through sustainable tourism practices. The trek is often referred to as the Eco-Community Lodge Trek, as trekkers stay in community-run lodges and homestays, directly benefiting the local people.

This moderate trek takes you through traditional Magar and Gurung villages, beautiful rhododendron forests, and diverse landscapes. The highlight of the trek is reaching Mohare Danda (3,313m), a stunning viewpoint that rivals the more popular Poon Hill, but with far fewer crowds.

Package Highlights:

  • Explore off-the-beaten-path routes with fewer tourists.
  • Enjoy breathtaking sunrise and sunset views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges from Mohare Danda.
  • Experience authentic Nepalese culture by staying in community-run lodges and interacting with locals.
  • Trek through lush rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and quaint villages.
  • Support sustainable tourism initiatives that help preserve the local environment and culture.
  • Visit the charming village of Nagi, home to inspiring community projects like schools and internet centers.
