The Upper Mustang Trek is a fascinating journey into one of the most isolated and mystical regions of Nepal. Known as the "Last Forbidden Kingdom," Upper Mustang was restricted to outsiders until 1992 and still retains its remote and traditional Tibetan Buddhist culture. Nestled in the rain shadow of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, this arid, desert-like region features stunning landscapes of deep gorges, red cliffs, ancient monasteries, and cave dwellings.
Upper Mustang lies north of the Annapurna region, stretching towards the Tibetan Plateau. The trek allows you to explore Lo Manthang, the walled capital of the ancient Kingdom of Mustang, and offers an unparalleled cultural and natural experience.
The Upper Mustang Trek offers a rare opportunity to explore an untouched, mystical part of Nepal, steeped in Tibetan culture and tradition, while trekking through one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on earth.
